Cusco by day and by night
Information about:
In the Cusco of today there is a pulsating life by day and by night.
Most of the attractions are close to the Plaza de Armas. Beside
the initial information we provide here, you can walk around
and make your own observations. You will be asked by many guys
to go to the club they represent.
In front of every club taxis are waiting all night long, just
be aware to pay doble the day price after 10 pm.
Cafes
Ayllu
Left of the Cathedral is the cafe Ayllu. It's well known for
tea with milk, homemade cakes and yoghurt, and other bakery.
Because of a steadily comeing and going it's not too comfortable.
Varayoc
Located in the corner of calle Espaderos and Plaza Regocijo close to Kamikase.
This cafe is perfect to write your post cards or read one of the newspapers
they provide.
El buen pastor
Located in the ascent to San Blas this cafe is run by nuns.
It's always busy and famous for it's excellent bakery and pastillery.
Trotamundos
Located in the second floor of Portal Comercio 177.
You get good snacks in an agreeable atmosphere thanks to it's jimney.
Nice view over the Plaza de Armas.
La Yunta
Located in Portal de Carnes 214 (Plaza de Armas).
Recommended for the fresh made juices. Provides european style food as well.
Busy with tourists.
Accepts all credit cards.

Portal Confituria 233, Plaza de Armas, facing the cathedral.
Cusco's original pub fills up with travelers enjoying the atmosphere of
a traditional English pub. You can play darts and watch European football
on cable TV. Good view over the Plaza de Armas. Provides snacks.

Happy hour 6 -7 pm and 9 - 9:30 pm.
Norton Rat's Tavern
Calle Loreto 115 Plaza de Armas,
is popular with travelers and locals alike.
It has great balconies giving a good view of the Plaza de Armas,
ideal to have a look at the people.
Recommended for hamburgers.
Also provides Darts, Pool and Cable TV.
Open daily noon- 1am.
Happy hour 7 - 9 pm.
Paddy Flaherty's
Calle Triunfo 124, Plaza de Armas, just to the right of the Cathedral.
One of two Irish bars in Cusco. Paddy Flaherty's is small and welcoming and has
a good view of the Plaza de Armas.
Provides Cable TV, Guinness! and good food.
Open daily noon - 1am.
Happy hour 7 - 8 pm. and 10 - 10:30 pm.
Rosie O'Grady's
Santa Catalina Ancha 360, just around the corner of Plaza de Armas.
Rosie O'Grady's is the second Irish bar in Cusco.
It's a bit more expensive but friendly and provides also
Cable TV, Guinness! and good food.
Open 11 am. - 1 am.
Happy hour 1 - 2 pm and 11 - 11:30 pm.
Ukukus
Plateros 316, 2nd floor.
Ukukus is a multicultural meeting point.
Every night after 10.30pm there is a live band.
Good variety of music and also movies in the afternoon.
Entrance: get a free ticket from one of the girls outside.
Open 4 pm till 5 am.
Happy hour 8 - 9 pm.
Mama Africa
Corner of Calle Triunfo and Santa Catalina.
Mama Africa is one of Cusco's most popular discos.
The DJ puts a mix of reggae, rock, techno and latin.
If you are alone and look for a young communicative girl, go there.
Also videos in the afternoon.
Entrance: get a free ticket from one of the girls outside.

Kamikase
Plaza Regocijo 274, 2nd floor.
Kamikase is Cusco's oldes pub-disco. It's more popular with locals and has
a typical charming athmosphere, a bit more conservative than the others.
After about 10.30pm there is live music all day with a lot of andean influence.
There is a nice balcony overlooking Plaza Regocijo.
Open 8 pm till 3 am.
Happy hour 8:30 - 9:30 pm.
El Garabato
Calle Espaderos 135, 3rd floor.
El Garabato is one of the newer discos and spacious. It's popular with locals and tourists as
well. Beside of an extensive list of drinks you can also order food.
Good variety of music and after 10.30pm live groups on weekends.
Open 9am until the last leaves.
El Muki
Santa Catalina angosta a un costado de la Plaza de Armas, música disco, no aconsejable para mayores de 25 años
Las Quenas
Av.Sol 395, bajos del Hotel Savoy interesante decoración tipo inca, buena música disco y latina, público local,
comoda para conversar tranquilamente.
Booms
En la calle Maruri, música disco, salsa, pop, presentación de grupos en vivo.
